Fotomarathon Hannover

  • vhs Hannover 14 Burgstraße Hannover, NDS, 30159 Germany (map)

(German to English Translation)

In the photo marathon, there are 12 quite tricky tasks, for which each participant has 12 hours to complete. For each task is exactly one photo to create. The photos are to be created in order of tasks. There are (almost) no restrictions except the subject and the order of the tasks - creativity and interpretation of the individual are required.

At the start, 3 tasks will be announced, which should be photographed in 3 hours. After 3 hours you meet at a previously announced meeting place. There, the appearance is recorded and everyone gets the next 3 tasks for the next 3 hours. So it goes on until you meet again after 12 hours at the end. Here are the cards with the 12 photos submitted in the correct order and read out. The part of the photographers is now over. You can happily wait for the result.

This is where the top-class jury of experts comes in. After subtracting the 12 photos of a participant on a wide strip, she goes there and evaluates the photos, and then finally determine the winners. This task is not easy and the jury does not make it easy.

After a few weeks there will be an exhibition at which all photographers and their friends and acquaintances can look at their own and above all the works of other photographers. Of course, in the end, the winners will be announced and the earned prizes will be awarded.
